i was locking up my shop at 7 tonight when my youngest daughter arrived with 2 friends, ok, then next daughter and her son arrived ok, then my,, son getting strange, then oldest daughter and 2 friends with sandwiches and champagne then finally my other son his wife and 2 kids

starting with the youngest each had an envelope first had a picture of a suitcase, 2nd. a taxi, 3rd a plane, 4th a postcard with an elephant, and 5th. a ticket to CAPETOWN for a 2 week holiday and 1,000 euro spending money

jeez im still in shock, flying out next monday, i have a friend out there and having been trying to go for the last 7 years

the reason for this is i am 50 this week and this was my pressie, they all have mortages in college etc so this was not easy for them im sure, im still crying

thanks everyone, i would have been happy with a card from them, it wasnt just the pressie it was the things they said thanking me for being such a great mam etc, made up for 30 years of child rearing with no support and a shitty marraige
