The discussion not long back probably started you off again! :D

S'pose the only reason I can see is expense if 'owt goes wrong, then again you got a z,so used to that! :smw:

Mmmmm I always fancied one since my boss had one new years ago ;)

yea i love em

being a BMW is good enough reason not to want one, but they are an awesome looking vehicle, and twice as much to run than the zed

Nice motors and I fancied one until I was in a BMW workshop one day and noticed an 850 getting engine work done I was told the owner had just bought it from a market and on the road home the engine blew, he had paid 15000 grand for the car, a new engine was being fitted as this was going to work out cheaper than the cost of the require repairs

price of engine 15000 grand  fook that Ill stick with the Z

I rate beemers, my 525 tourer almost has 220,000 miles on the clock and still pulls like a train. I've not heard all that much about the 850 though? They don't look cheap to maintain, worse than a zed?? I guess you get a decent interior which would be a nice change to Jap cars! Are they all tiptronic automatics? I can't see anything else on autotrader.

Awesome car at a now affordable price to buy........... running costs are a different story..

My cousin had the 840 and it never failed to turn heads......... a future classic........

I think of a good reason......its inferior in almost every way to the zed. There :)

It is infact pretty much regarded as Bmw's worst car, in marketing & sales terms at least. A very disapointing replacement to the original 6 series.

eeerrrrr ok!!!! as a mile munching fast cruiser i dont think a zed could come near one in terms of comfort, road presence, and mid-range torque  as a sports car and sunday morning wake-up blast then give me my zed running 16-17psi anyday.

mmmmmmmm decisions,decisions :headvswal

I've thought about it - and the 840i.

Running costs could be a right crippler.

done my homework and iff the wife shops at aldi, uses the newspapers for ass wipe and only toast one side of the bread i could afford one
