Ho can i get my tinting removed without screwing up my rear window de-mister etc. Anyone know a pro in the north west who can remove my chav-film from my car?

Featured Replies

just use a hair dryer and pull it off after it is nice and warm

I used the hair dryer and it took most of the film off. There was still some residue for which I nicked the wife's nail polish remover. Worked a treat and no damage.

hair dryers a pain, just park it with the tailgate open facing the sun. that'll warm it enough to remove it - start in a corner or around the heating element connection. finish off with a good scrub of white spirits - the glass that is...

once the film is removed you can use a very fine steel wool to remove the glue residue, this won't damage the heater strips and won't leave your car stinkin!

thanks guys, i am tempted to go the hair dryer route but was wondering if anyone does this as a pro guarenteeing not to screw it up

I think i would rather entrust this job to someone who has done loads of times before.

plan a) if anyone knows a window tint remover in the north west then please recommend, if not I will have a go with the hair dryer as plan b)

Thanks
