Hey all,

I have just reset my browser settings to default (internet explorer 7) and I can't get my home page settings to save.

I have clicked on "use default" "use current" etc in an effort to set it to my own choice, but even after clicking apply and OK it still goes back to MSN as my home page?

Why won't it save my choice of home page?

Thanks,

Richard

try typing /pasting the web addy in the box instead...any good?

No!

I deleted all content in the box and typed the 2 home pages I want. Clicked Apply then OK but it still defaulted back to MSN when I clicked "home" on the toolbar.

It just bloody ignores me - damn PC has female hormones.......... :wack:

Bud,

On IE7 it wipes out all traces of where youve been everytime you restart unless you tell it to remeber stuff. Its somewhere in the 'tools' then 'internet options' properties. I think its a check box.

yeah i was just thinking there may be an option to always default your home page to msn. its an attempt to avoid spam websites setting your homepage to them. Maxthon, the browser i use, has such a setting

Sounds like it....

.....although I've been using IE7 for some time now and until today my home pages were always Tiscali and Yahoo. Why is it only now that I cannot change it?

And why on my work PC (also using IE7) can I keep Google as my home page?

Anyone know where the option to disable that setting is?

Right!

I have successfully added Tiscali and Yahoo to my home page tabs and it works - I just cannot delete MSN.

At least I can live with that........
