I have put my NA up for sale on autotrader, fancy a TT now. I am getting lots of people from overseas saying they will send bankers drafts, and get a shipping agency to pick the car up after the funds have cleared. Are these people trying to scam me? Anyone had anything like this in the past, when they were selling?

They also say they will give extra money for me to give to their shipping agent. This sounds a bit dodgy to me?

I will be giving £200 for your (efforts).I really want the Car urgently,and am highly earger to see it. I'll need your details inorder for you to received the UK BANKDRAFT soonest.And if you can email your details today probably this week you receive the payment.

I have had these, reply to the email with some bullsh!t and you'll probably get a reply saying "thanks for your reply" and some crap about his wife loving your car and can you send some pictures. These are automated emails and unboubtably want to rip you off.

If in doubt... Bail out!

sounds like a major rip off to me..stay clear

I believe these are money laundering schemes.

 

They send you more money than the car is for sale and you obviously then send it back to them cleaned.

 

This is one of the scames they run on ebay. End the auction early etc etc.

 

Avoid at all costs.

It's a scam. I put my wifes car up for sale in Auto Trader and I had about 10 of these.
