you will probably have to get a nut splitter (easy to use)... form machine mart etc, or grind it off. then get a new nut and bolt

they are pressed in studs i wouldnt know where to get them. this shouldnt of happened on a new tension rod with under the specified torque!

this has really pissed me off . my only transport and was the last job of the night then it was the test drive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

can you re-use one of your captive bolts and nuts of your old one on the new kit?

sorted it!!!

i managed to some how with a bit of brute force and ignorence to get the nut off. it hasn't damaged the stud so i reused the original nissan nuts

the pics show the thread of the nut left on the stub, the nut with no thread and the thread of the nut sat next to the nut. ouch!!!

thanks again to all for your help and advice. saves me a walk to work in the morning!
