Well I wish I'd taken more photo's but these'll give you an idea.

I helped to restore Rat before I owned it, and when it came to me it looked like this, pretty bad I think you'll agree. This wasn't just dirt, it was stained and the first wash didn't even touch it.:-

Since then it was really only cleaned with quite an aggressive chemical cleaner, and given a quick polish with Auto Glym Super Resin Polish, which did a good enough job at the time. However, the bonnet has always been pretty rough, to the point where it could almost have been mistaken for a satin finish! Anyhoo, I attacked it today with some G3 and some more SRP - it took a few passes but I got it to this finish:-

Due to other commitments today I didn't have time to do the rest of the car, but I'll be doing it bit by bit, and you should see the results at the shows this year. Also, thanks to FunkySi's guide, I'm gonna have a crack at refurbing my alloys - watch this space! :)

Excellent work buddy, shall be starting working on each and every panel of mine in prep for the spraywork/bodywork to be done to it.

What compound are you using? Mine's badly sprayed and i need to cut out alot of orange peel on it.
