Well first time in 5 yrs Z failed its mot... On metal brake pipes so its not too bad for a 16yr old car..( the garage politly declined to do the job )

So decided to upgrade the flexi hoses to braided lines when i am on with it.. However did a search and seems like there was a problem with certain thread fitment and lack of retaining clips on goodridge hoses .. does anyone know if this has been sorted or can advise on a supplier who has correct fitting hoses for a 1990 jap import... ? Can't see any traders listing them...Cheers

I think Danny at DTA does these. The problem I seem to remember is that most don't come with the locating brackets on that attach to the strut. I think the ones that Danny sells are the correct ones.

Got mine off e-bay. Had the correct fittings but no bracket. They were the goodridge ones as well. Or very good fakes.

Thanks 4 that.. i have had some parts off him before with no problems...not a bad price either... much appreciated............... :duffer:

Lines with the two correct locators built in are more expensive due to the cost of 4 extra fittings.

I had some custom ones made plain with P clips to locate.

I also had different end fittings on one end ... but thats another story.....

im 5 miles from goodridge, and they currently have my std hoses, from 92 jap tt,

so i will hopefully be getting an exact copy of origonals!! no zip tie's for me!!!

will let you know how i get on!!

Thanks ..makes things a lot clearer...........

Yes, we now have the correct hoses with the correct ends and adapters and line locators.

Built to order, cost is approximately £95 per set of four.

The pipes at the rear are a real pig to do so I'm not suprised most garages won't touch them as it's often a case of dropping the rear end to get to them. I don't know anyone in your area, but keep looking as I just got mine done last month and after a few problems finding somewhere to do it, I got the mechanic 400 yards up the road to do it. He didn't seem phased at all and just removed the rear diff to get in there, but he did swear a bit afterwards about the job. I just had the rear pipes replaced and got some braided brake hoses fited at the same time and it was about 10 hours labour.
