Steering Wheel Removal

I'm fitting a new steering wheel but can't shift the bolt holding the old one on.

In the service manual it says use the removal tool but I don't have one.

Is it just a normal nut that fixes it on because it just won't budge. On close inspection it looks like it may have some kind of locking system. It doesn't help trying to do it on my own with the wheel moving all the time.

I presume it comes off anti-clockwise?

LMFAO If it was strength that was needed how come it needed 2 of us and the huge fuck off bar to get it off?! LOL

That nut was well stuck on.

OK so I need some heavy duty tools...

Sometimes the wheel wrench provided in the toolkit to undo your wheel nuts will also fit the steering wheel nut!

I've used this method in the past.

p.s. Your nut may have had some locktite on the thread!

And removing it with a rachet the size of a toffee hammer, could take six weeks biggrin.gif.
