Hi The guy who PX'ed my Zed for his Porsche has ripped me off the tax. I got a letter sayin his cheque had bounced when he purchased the tax. have to now buy a fresh tax. They said they sent him letters but he has not responded,. If I drive it now I may be prosecuted as the tax is listed as invalid. Did he e-mail me to tell me this ?? NO!! I hope if he logs on here (of which he is now a member) he has the decency to send me the refund as the tax was not due to run out till end of June 07.

Please guys be carefull..when buying a car..your bloody tax may be illegal..recepits mean nothing if the cheque bounced..I wondered why "he" had not contacted me since he done up the Zed

It isnt any conselation I spose but would you have done the deal if there was no tax involved in the first place? It might make you feel better if you can answer yes?

The guy is complaining about dishonesty of a forum member.....yes he'd probably have done the deal like i would, but would have at least negotiated down £100 on the basis of not even having 6 months road fund licence!

He's obviously sold the car, and the buyer agreed the price on the whole package, i.e.

on the basis of current RFL having 5 months left to run!

Wooooooooow!! hold on a second!!! FFS people why not at least contact me before posting on this forum !!! JESUS!!

Ive jyst seen this post, I post on here regularly and log on almost every day!!!

I actually just emaild you this morning about it as I recieve a letter TODAY!!!!!!!! ive not had any other letters from DVLA or the post office and Ive been on the phone to them to sort this!!!

As ive also explained in the email which ive sent you I am more than happy to pay you the money as its a genuine mistake!!!! the tax was paid for in december via cheque and I changed banks end of january!! its not my fault they waited till feb to cash the cheque then not contact me!!!!

Ive not been in touch because as far as i was aware there was nothing to get in touch about!!

You have my email address, and my home address so why not just email me to get my explanation before going mental on here saying ive ripped you off??? :(

Ive apologised in the email more than once and Again im sorry this has happened! ive also included all the details from the letter in the email etc so that we can sort this out, I will send you the money to cover it but as also explained in my email it will have to be once i get paid again!

Sorry again, but i wish you had spoke to me first before just posting all this on a public forum!!! whats that all about????

This thread needs deleting. Maybe Sarah should post, that should speed the deletion process up ;)

I aint into arguing anymore BUT! It nearly always seems to happen with newly reg'd or sub'd members? Maybe I am wrong but thats how it always seems to be. I wish you luck and hopefully he will make it right by refunding or compensating you. But we still shouldnt get a linch mob organised until he has proved himself a twat?

And as for you and the rest of you lot, resorting to bullying tactics etc etc etc, what a load of f**kin *****cks!!

youve said yourselves yes she has my name and address, also knows my username on here, has my email addy SO WHY NOT CONTACT ME!!!!! not even a pm or anything!!! YEs id have contacted her first if i had recieved any of these "letters" they claim to have sent me! the only letter I have is the one DATED on the 28th feb 2007 which I recieved TODAY. If you dont believe me ill send you a bloomin copy of the thing!!!!!

What ever happened to innocent till proven guilty??? well thanks for everyones support!!

Honest mistakes do happen, why always assume the worst without confirming the facts first??

Its not up to me to trawl through every forum to find a post to reply to something to, therefore i didnt even see this whold thing untill today!!

oh and for the record id like this post left up as it shows alot. :(

I'm pretty dusgusted at some of the posts on this thread.

I have been a close friend of Steve's for several years, and he is an honest and good person. To even think he is capable of deception is such an insult.

We drove his Porsche down from Glasgow, leaving at 2am, and getting to London for about 7.30am. We gave it a clean and polish before arriving at our final destination.

Steve is meticulous with his cars, and the Porsche could not have been any cleaner or straighter. As far as he was concerned, everything was in order, including paperwork.

Before ranting on a public forum, a simple PM or phone call is all it takes to sort out a problem.

Since we picked up Steve's 300, it has had several problems, none of which he has mentioned to the previous owner:

Power steering pump knackered (not jus needing bled as advertised)

Radiator burst on the way home

Radiator pipes burst

Boost pipe burst

Exhaust back boxes blown (mot fail)

Clutch gone within 2 weeks (now replaced)

Major fault with the speed convertor (cutting the engine when you adjust the electric seat!!!)

A few more I won't bother mentioning.

So, be very careful what you post on a public forum, if you don't get the facts right, it's bound to come back and bite you on the ass.

Dave.

It's a bit strange how Caz got notified before you did concerning a bonced cheque from yourself.

If I were you I'd be asking them why was that, as it now put's you in a bad light.

Maybe you should have a word with both the Road Tax people and your bank. I know I would.

Yes i agree it is a bit weird! and I have had words with them and they are unable to tell me what date these supposed letters were even sent out by them!!

It also states at the bottom "if you have sold or disposed of the vehicle you should contact the new keeper to return the licence. if you do not I shall have to inform the new keeper that the vehicle is unlicenced and they risk prosecution if it is used ir kept on a public road"

So it would appear that even though they have said i have a chance to nitify Caz before they do that they went ahead and done it anyway!!

As for contacting my bank I know why they didnt notify me but to be quite honest with you i dont see why I should discuss my financial business on a public forum !! hence why there is a full explanation in the email sent to Caz this morning before I even read this thread!!

The point is I shouldnt have to try and "clear my name" on a public forum for this as it should never have got posted here first to begin with!

LOL, like the DVLA and banks are angels and always get things right?

I currently have two fines for not paying tax on cars I scrapped or sorned three months ago. I notified them at the time and have proof.

As for banks, don't even go there. :smash:

There's two main issues on this thread that hack me off.

No contact from the "Victim" to the "accused"

Mob rule without knowing the facts.

Both show a severe lack of maturity.

If this was america we'd have a court case pending now  Please delete this thread as its doing no one any good in the long term...

Why is there such an urgency on this forum to delete threads?

Too much brushing under the carpet if you ask me.

It's also an insult to anyone who has take the time to write replies, good or bad.

I quite like to see what people write "in the heat of the moment". It shows true colours, and potentially warns future posters about certain people.

Or maybe that's what folk want to hide ;)

Fair enough. Roll on the new members..... Come join our great club....

Ive already joined the 'great' club bud :headvswal

Steve - you'll find this club is full of peeps who cant wait to jump on the bandwagon and get stuck into someone elses personal affairs - and yes you tend to be found guilty by the mob instantly...its because your not part of the 'elite' my freind.

Dont get me wrong there are plenty of level headed peeps on here that talk sense.

Petrolhead - i agree that issues like this need to be in the open but when it becomes afree for all to take a pop at steve then I defo side with Mr Duffy - close the thread and put a stop to mindless slanging matches from non-involved parties.

I think this club had better start thinking about an area where members can air there greivances without reprisals from the mob :(

Or move it to off-topic/fight club then let the REAL bullying commence ;)

Couple of threads on here in the last week or so have really pissed me off with the lynch mob approach, without either knowing both sides of the story or failing to/refusing to read the whole story from both parties. Maybe its the lack of sunshine or maybe people really and honestly do think they are better than anyone else. I can guarantee one thing though, come big meet time in the summer all the threats and slaggings off will suddenly be forgotten and everyone will be wonderfull friends again. Funny how a keyboard and computer screen changes peoples attitude :(

Cheers,

Andy

There is a place for members in the private section but not one for registered users. Also Registered User's don't have the the use of the Private Messenging either.

Any way I'm sure it's now going to get all sorted :)

I really hope it gets sorted out soon.

Otherwise I'll send the boys round

everyone has had their say, so ive closed this thread, its upto the parties invloved to sort this out away from the forum

also bulliying members will not be tolerated, anyone found to be trying this tactic will be dealt with appropriately
