Has anyone here binned the re-circ valves on there car.

I was thinking of do this and just blocking the hoses up, I have seen this done on 200sx without problems other that compressor stall noises.

What do you think?

tbh honest mate id listen to everyones advice, theres a lot of knowledge on here of zeds and its not really worth it just to make it sound nice as you aint exactly gonna get another 50bhp out of it!

awesome but tbh thats what my s13 sounded like with just an induction kit and zorst, not worth fookin your turbo. and im pretty sure thats a late 180sx with SR20 engine and pigeon mod. dont get me wrong, lovely noise but not gd idea for a zed mate

Okay let me answer the throttle response, my 200sx had better response when the dump valve was removed! I have also had other people confirming this to me.

The biggest benefit for fitting re-circs is for emisson reasons as both vent to atmosphere and complete removal cause overfueling on lift off.

I can only assume that was on the S13, a car desigend without the dump valve, but then 1 advantage of the dump valve is a very slight increase of throttle responce anyways, so summit's not right there.

Fraid you've lost me on the part that factory fitted or aftermarket RE-CIRCS vent to atmosphere, the name simply tells you the opposite and as for emission reasons, am even more baffled.

Anyways, this might be of use to yer http://www.twinturbo.net/ttnetfaq/FAQpages/bov.html

Though you seem head strong on removing a factory part that isn't broken, will have no benefit what so ever when removed ( I know for fact from experience) and may cause early turbo failure at the very least, which if it does, will cost you more in parts/labour than yer average S13 and some S14's cars are to buy!!

Good luck

you will also cause the wastegate housings to crack with the constant wastgate chatter, so when you need new tubs you will need new housings not just a rebuild.

Was on my s14a, that I had better throttle response.

Think you have misunderstood what I have said about recirc valves, they help emission because they prevent the overfueling often seen when lifting off with aftermarket vent to atmosphere types or complete removal.

thank you for the link to the guide it will come in handy tomorrow.
