I'm thinking of removing the cover under the bonnet as after 16 years it looks rather tired. Will this affect the paint or can you gt something else to reflect the heat like foil?

Featured Replies

it gives some heat protection and noise insolation, although i have seen some cars without it fitted

I removed the insulation on my slicktop as soon as i got it, i didnt notice any extra noise and the heat hasnt caused any problems to the paint on the bonnet. ;)

I took mine off about 12 months ago. It gets a little hotter down here in Australia and I haven't had a single problem.
