you just need the green wire for reverse and the speedo sensor wire and plug off auto loom

someone told me about the wires that tell that the car is in netrual or parked to start when still an auto do i have to short these to get the card to start

Just short the two wires (black and brown if I remember correctly). They are the heaviest guage wires going to the auto gearbox and are in a black plug on their own. Alternatively you can short out at the relay under the bonnet (big relay far LH corner near boost guage sensor) and eliminate the relay altogether. Cant remember the wire colours at the relay. Possibly black and white & black.

If you look at the 6 pin large Grey plug mounted behind the drivers side headlamp, its one of four plugs for the gearbox loom. There should be two purple wires, short these across and that should by pass the inhibitor switch.

As for reverse lights, you have to tap into the old autobox plugs, cant tell you which ones yet, I havnt done mine yet!!

Does anyone know the colours for the neutral switch at the plug behind the headlamp?

doesn't really need to be connected that wire at all

Does anyone know the colours for the neutral switch at the plug behind the headlamp?

Cream and black I think
