Need some advice..

I bought a cf dash kit from another member who said it had never been fitted. for 35 quid

when i received it the only pieces in the kit are 2 pieces for each window switch, 1 piece for centre console above the radio vents etc(this was the wrong shape as the clock cut out was on the wrong side) 2 smaller strips for the console also, a piece for the ashtray lid and piece for the surround back to the lift up compartment between the seats.

That was it!

Is this all the kits comprise of? or are there other kits that do the rest? cos tbh it looks odd with some of it done and some not.

Also was 35 a gd price for 7 pieces of carbon fibre???

puzzled.. very puzzled and a bit disappointed tbh

Firstly, sounds like you've been sold a US left hand drive version!

Secondly, this is what should come in a basic kit...........

and the drivers side piece was just to cover the switches...

oh right ok, so its just made from the stuff you can buy on a roll

I guess its cut by a computer so thats what you pay for.

I have a different kit on mine, its plastic and replaces the nissan parts.

Its cf look tho, and tbh its pants, the stereo bit is broken.

wouldnt think so bud, its too fragile and is actually carbon so..

just wanted the other bits is all I have pm'd the member i got it form and am awaiting a reply

I think only interior kits on ebay come with all trim, i bought mine from zcentre even though it was good quality kit it only had approx 7/9 pieces & cost £235

the kit in the pictue is not just carbon fibre stickers it is layered with epoxy resin this is difficult stuff to work with and gives it a great finish

the cutting out is easy and cheap the resin part is the skill ie no dust no condensation the list is endless

getting confused now .. - the kit in the picture?

and can we keep on topic pls???

anyone?

Mines got a carbon kit fitted , there,s alot more bits than the few you put crosses on bud but it could be down to what,s supplied by the manufacturer

Trying to keep on topic as much as possible ;)

I think your chances of obtaining the remaining parts are slim to none-existant, unless the seller can sort you out.

Like I said, this is the basic kit, there is a more complicated version (See Bee Gee  as his is the same as mine, only the full version)

And to answer the other bit, it is from eBay, imported from the US especially for the right hand driver Zed, about £70ish.

Yep, can believe it. There are some differences in quality and the amount of actual C/F used in these dash kits from different places.

Alot are using whats called photogenesis ( spelling) looks like carbon, feels like carbon, but it ain't..

Am trying to buy just the stereo surround piece now from Aus and at great expense compared to the ebay ones too, but am happy 100% it is the real thing ;)

Dave where did you get that from?

Not to sure on these kits. They look like, well just like a stuck on kit. My zed came with a nasty (and I mean nasty) wood effect trim kit just like that. The bloke who had the car imported paid nearly £200 to have it made.

Took me 4 hours to remove it. Took half the skin off my fingers too.

Speadfreak, If you want, i will finish fitting my kit this week and take some pics, i have a spare kit cos they sent me 2 by mistake, first one got lost in the post for a few weeks.

If you want, i can send it to you to have a look and offer the pieces up to your trim and if you like it, yours for what i paid £45, i will include the postage in that price and if you dont think its for you, just send it back to me in one piece, nothing to lose.

Cheers

Graham
