hey all my TT has just failed on a few things mainly welding, on seat belt seals or something in a few places is this common and expensive or what . also an advisery oil leak on turbo not that i ever see any oil on my drive ever and it is stood for a couple of days sometimes , from underneath not an inner seal are they on the way out . many thanks ...

They probably mean the sills are corroded near to the seat belt mountings, and yes quite a few z's have this problem especially UK motors but I suspect more and more of the Jap imports will start to suffer this too!

 

Oil leaks cant be failed at mot, but best getting somebody to look at it if its just seepage its not really a problem but any major leak will need looking into especially if its for the turbos you dont want them lacking oil or it will be expensive if it fooks them

you can fail MOT if you have an oil leak that leaves a puddle bigger than 2cm within 2mins or something like that !
