took my zed in for a cambelt change and minor service to the nissan main dealer, as i have been unable to find a specialist here in the York/Hull area. the day after picking the car up i had a coolant leak and the RAC guy said they had forgotten to place some hose clips on. so took it back to nissan and they said they would re-do the hoses and check all others. Well i drove 30 miles up the road and thought hhmmm.. the temp gauge is just above the halfway mark thats a bit odd. Pulled over and there was blooms of white smoke coming out of one of the exhausts. Stopped the engine and after 30min opened up the radiator cap to find there was no coolant! so the car is back at nissan. i cant believe what a f$$$in mess thay have made of my car!

does anyone know of a specialist in my area. I am going to phone up falcon engineering and get their advise, cos there is no chance of me letting these other idiots into the head of the engine when they cant put hose clips on.

 

hi ,if u use falcon u will find that they do an A1 job,they definatly no the inside of an engine!

they have done a full rebuild for me in the past , and i found there work top notch mate.

well, they have said they will fix it up, trouble is its anybodys guess what will happen, but they promised not to put the nipper on the job. as soon as it is donw its up to falcon engineering to get them to look over it, just to make sure.

I`m afraid my past experiences with

nelson mandellas are the same,

they dont seem to care and at £55/hour

they should`nt get away with it.

Speak/write to the MD until you are happy.

Don't even bother to contact Nissan themselves. I did to complain about Sterling in Ipswich. They were very polite, said they would chase up Sterling and keep me informed. What they actually did was repeat the bull that Sterling gave me and said they were sorry but the dealers are franchised and we can't do anything....blah blah blah. A complete waste of time!!!

thing is, i am not paying for it to be fixed, so i have to grin and bear it for now.

last time i go to main dealer, thought i was doing the right thing, gee! i was way off bass.
