Hoping to get some advice from some of the more knowledgeable on here..

 

I have a 1990 2+2 t-bar turbo in black, 110,000 km on the clock and my sound system is already sorted. Car has cat back nismo exhaust system and that about it.

 

What i would like to know is what some on here would do with 5k to spend on the car.

The following are my ideas.

 

Have already booked the car in for a full leather retrim in silver and black including all door cards and panels. £800 all in

 

Also getting some 18-19 wheels, any ideas?

Then thinking of getting full kit and 4 pot lambo lights.

 

 

Going to have a full respray as well just to get away from the aged look.

 

 

 

 

If anyone on herecan think of things i should do, or have any helpful advice then i would appreciate.

Worst scenario is that you have a great looking car sat on the drive because a turbo or something has gone. Always worth getting the running gear checked out.

the last thing you want is to spend 5k on looknice mods then a month later you findout you need to spend out on a new engine because you didnt get checked out. also you say your south wales that surely cant be a 300mile round trip to bristol area.

most definately. But with me being in wales it is a 300mile round trip to get to legrath and back. that alone is going to cost me £500 in fuel.

ok so how much would a 300 mile trip cost in a twin turbo?

u sure 3l twin turbo £30 for 300 miles ??

i live 80 miles from cardiff and i was told that SWZ is somerset. Travelled to teignmouth recently and this turned out to be a 350 mile trip. So 300+ miles in the Z will cost at least £70 probably more.

 

Average mpg of around 14-15

4 litres in a gallon

1 litre of super unleaded is 97p

97x4 = 3.88

 

15 miles per 3.88

3.88 x 20 = 76

 

so roughly £76

4.54 litres in a gallon so a bit more fuel im afraid. We are 57 miles from Cardiff plus the bridge fair. ;)

and im sure you will be worth every penny once i turn up. Especially if legrath makes me a lovely custom double din dash like his as a show of good faith :-0
