...so i was testing my zed on a nice open runway tonight (lucky i stumbled across one on the way back :rofl: ) and got up to 140mph and the limiter kicked in and wouldn't let me go any further.

 

I thought the limiters were supposed to arm at 110mph???

Should be 112mph for an unmodified Jap car and 155mph for a UK model.

That's what i thought, so why the hell is mine kicking in at 140mph?

 

Bizarre, i wouldn't have found out only i had some tit in a golf gti mk3 pull up at the side of me and pip three times and i was bored after driving 340 miles so thought it;d be a laugh to blow him away (which i did lol)

mine cuts in a fraction below 130mph - wierd but it's definitely an electronic limiter.

 

I think a conzult should tell you about it

UPDATE, on my earlier comment ;)

 

On the way down to the mids meet, I saw a Audi TT in the middle lane of the M69, so decided to have a play :D Floored it and Eliza pulled really well...... In fact right upto 240!!!!

 

OK that's kph, but works out to aprox 149 mph, which I'm impressed with, especially considering she's running like a bag of nails at the moment ;)

 

 

Oh yeah, and the important part (the reason for the post)....... NO SMOKE at all, all the way there or back! :eek:

I have had the exact same problem at 140mph since iv'e owned my Z, But when the limiter kicks in at 140 on mine i lose my power streering and my speedo shuts down until i slow to 30mph then all is well again.....Scary as S**T when it happens.
