Well here are my new wheels in situe...

NOW you may be asking, "why's he not showing the whole car?"

WELL that's where the fun starts...

They came off a zed right?

Correct

What i didn't think about before i bolted one on was the fact that the front TT calipers are 4mm wider than their NA siblings :headvswal

SO been up to Slick Pete's to get his advice and we've settled on me swapping my calipers and discs for his spare na setup temporarily.

So after being without the car for 3 days while they sorted out the f*** up with my brakes at the cost of 50 quid, i now have to shell out another load of money just to get them to fit arrrggghhhhh

THEY DO LUCK GORGEOUS THOUGH AND REALLY SET OFF THE CAR WITH A SLEEK STEALTHY LOOK :D

THANK YOU MICK1 you're a star for coming down to J26 today to drop them off.

More updates to come as and when i get somewhere with them :headvswal

still got those spacer's mate will fetch them to mids meet for ya. foc

Cheers matey but i don't think they'll do much, the calipers are just too far out.

We tried everything up to 8mm in spacers but by that point there's not enough thread to bolt onto and it's not safe. I'll just change the discs and calipers, it's probably easier then when micky's brembo conversion is ready i'll get some larger custom spacer fabricated to knock the wheels out to the right size.

Those wheels look spot on mate.

Sounds like there's a bit of grief getting them / the brakes fitted but they're worth it.

They go great with the purple.

Cheers matey, you can't see the black on them really but they look great in the flesh.

Hope i'll see you a a meet soon matey!

I like the look of those buddy, I even toyed with the idea of getting a set myself. Good buy them they do suit Ronnie

Looking forward to seeing it all sorted on the Tunnel Run mate :hyper: :hyper:

Oh and get them tail pipes polished :p

lol, the car is an absolute state at the moment inside and out.

Hasn't had a clean in weeks and hasn't had a polish in 4 months now

I will make the effort though, fitting the braided fuel lines this week, hopefully a sub enclosure and the front wheels (if i ask my mates nicely to sort out the nuts on the other brake caliper just hope they didn't throw away the other brake line i gave them!)

Hopefully i'll have enough time to paint the calipers purple, clean and paint the suspension parts, replace the bushes etc.

Plus i need to send my shopping list to luke at zcentre so he can bring some bits to the meet

lol, not even pete knew that the external dimensions of the calipers were different till he measured them, a simple mistake to make :D

Cheers matey

Nick

I thought that they were the same caliper except for the very early NA ones?
