Fvcking Hell....!!

I posted a thread called 'vibrating front end' or something earlier. Thought it could be wheel bearings or something...

Took the zed to the main dealer this morning so they could check it out quickly, of which they did, so praise to them.

They rang me at lunchtime and said that the wheels were on the wrong places (front - rear swapped, left to right etc.) and that the wheels were loose!. To cap it all the front nearside was virtually about to come off, FFS!.

Nissan charged me £20 odd to fix which I didn't mind (for peace of mind). Do I :-

a. threaten legal action to the place that re-con. my alloys

b.ask for my £20 back from said place

c. beat the crap out the guy that put the wheels back on,

d. all the above.

Cheers

Yes!

Scary!

FFS! Tony, this is what had happened with my car aswell. Not my fault and only noticed when it came to putting new tyres on.

Macca made me think and when I checked my fronts were on the back and rears on the front. Week before that I'd had the rears(fronts lol) done and they were on wrong sides.

Jesus Christ!

I would at least get on the phone to the company that re-conditioned your wheels and explain the scenario, then take it from there!

You'll probably need an official form from Nissan describing the problem they discoverd and the work they did to rectify it.

I would do ask for the £20 straight away. Threaten legal action and if they tell you to get stuffed, stuff who-evers closest at the time and wait for them to change their mind.

Good luck mate

Just rang the guy up who re-conned my wheels and gave him a 5-minute lecture on health and saftey etc.. the guy was most embarrassed and will refund the money I spent at my local main dealer!.

Well done, sounds like you had a lucky escape the m8y - a bit too close or what!
