Yes, I'm good mate. And you?

Not been to a mids meet for a while but hope to make one soon.

I think it does need to be near the windscreen - is there any way to get a wire there fairly neatly?

i snipped the cigar lighter end off my charging lead and hard wired that into stereo switch live, then brought it through the glove box so when i park up in a suspect area i can just unplug and tuck the lead into the same said glove box thus reducing the need to trowel the streets with a 4 foot sword looking for the scumbag who robbed my snooper ;)

hardwired with a slice of soft :D

I wanted to do this off the interior light loom as the lead then won't hang down as much??

Do you just snip the connector off the end of your snooper lead and put one to ground and one to the live feed?

Dunno if it's the same sort of power connections (I have a Road Angel Navigator), but I went to Maplins and got a cigar lighter socket (FE42V Car Accessory Skt) for £1.49 and connected it up behind the stereo head unit and then plugged in the power lead that came with the unit (the one that goes into the cigarette lighter socket) and ran the small end up through the central window heater slot and into the back of the unit. It's quite tidy.

i've got a SR6R (i think).

Depends where you mount it. i've used the windscreen suction mount and got it low on the far right hand side sitting on the dashboard. Found it the best place to see display especially in sunlight.

Took the power from instrument cluster and fed lead out of back of top cover.
