i think my engines over fueling.some one recommended getting an electronic boost controller but that option is too expensive!

is this any good

If it's over fueling a boost controller isn't really a good idea.

You need to get it running correctly first or you could end up damaging something.

And believe me Chris would know about this. :slap: :rofl:

 

Unfortunately after 7 years of Zed ownership and two knacker engines in my gararge so would I.

 

Get the thing running right, get it sorted so you know the tubs and the compresion is spot on before you think about turning up the wick. Otherwise you'll soon understand Heinstine's Big Bang Theory too well.

Having said that, I've had no experience of over-fuelling before so perhaps wont be of much help. However, I'm here if you need a second opinion or get stuck.

 

Have you run any diags? I think a faulty oxygen sensor may cause this? (or more likely the connection to it). But of course, I could be talking *****cks.

When is it overfuelling? On boost? On Idle? Can't see the O2s pushing it that rich that you'd notice, they don't have that much effect. If its rich on boost then you have a boost leak...

Could be a faulty temp sensor, that would make it run a bit rich too wouldn't it?

the problem is that when i put my foot down my turbos kick in and then the car stops pulling suddenly.like youve slammed the brakes on. and the revs go right down like the cars switched itself off.it doesnt do it everytime tho only when i put my foot down the first time when i take it out.HELP

an answer to this would be nice, as I have the same problem with my 92 auto, first time i boot it, it practically dies, boost stops, revs die, take foot off the gas and back on again, fine, it worrie me a bit.

Sounds Like a boost Leak to me too, a big one. Like a sticking dump valve, stone through an IC or spilt hose

them manual ones are cheap. take it to pro's who know what there doeing and get it mapped.
