I've got those too. Best place to change gear is under a motorway tunnel at full boost with the targas out.

Laaarrrrrvvvvllllyyyyy!!!

See Luke.... I told ya they were better than your old ones biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

Rob.

so how much do those beauties cost then?I bet the cost a pretty penny, BOVs are cool though a must addon even if they have no function wink.gif

Really clarkey and why do they not have much function?

because they do exactly what the stock reciculating valves do but with a bit of noise.

In theory recircs are better...

Chris mate, i think what he was getting at is that my car is an auto and there is no point on an auto.

Little does he know............

I have an HKS BOV on my Auto MK4 Supra and it works a treat. It blows automatically when it changes gear at high speeds, but when cruising just releasing the accelerator pedal does the job nicely smile.gif

I strategically release the acc pedal when passing bus stops or groups of people. Very sad, I know, but I just can't resist!

Pete

ps Only thing though - The HKS valves have more of a squeak than a whoosh. Saying that it sounds awesome with the bonnett up

pss That Yellow Z looks beautiful

I think it looks good too, but then I have a pearl yellow Zed so I would say that! It definatly turns heads.

I never really took much notice of Zeds before. When they are Black or any dark colour you can't see the lines properly. When I saw my first yellow one it was love at first sight.

First one I drove was a yellow, manual, 'N' plate - work that one out !

Loved it but was far too expensive - £24K !!!!

Saying that... I will be a traitor soon. I'm also in love with the Mitsubishi GTO. I have been told that they don't handle as well as the Zed but I'm a sucker for a nice arse.

Hmm. Now, I may have got this wrong, can I take a wild guess and assume you maybe don't quite like the GTO?

  • Author

Oh please dont get me wrong, the gto is a fantastic car but the zed is far better looking and more nible and has far much more potential as a whole car.

Im not just saying this because i have one i have always thought this smile.gif smile.gif smile.gif

GTO's are lovely looking cars, but handle like a dog. There is so much to go wrong and if it does you'll need to start thinking about re-mortgaging your house, unless you're minted of course

For years my choice was always between a Supra, 300ZX or GTO (3000GT). It's obvious what my choice was wink.gif Nowadays it'd be a close call between the Z and Supra but the GTO would be dismissed. They're not as well built. As for tuning.... nuff said.

I'd have one for nowt though.

Chrome wheel arch trims and wheels that aren't centred in the arches. I'm not sure I'd call that one nice.

They are generally nice looking cars though.

Oh! Didn't notice those arches! redface.gif

I was looking at the GTO when upgrading from my MR2. It was a choice between the GTO, the Zed, Supra or Calibra. The Calibra wsn't really in the running after I got a proper look at it, I sat in the GTO and needed binoculars to see the passenger side, then just set my sights on the Zed and after nearly 10 months of searching, found a decent one.

Still think GTOs look nice on the road, though.

As does the NSX.

Anita.

If we are talking about nice rear ends of cars I think one of these takes some beating new_gt40_1.jpg

Woof Woof!!!!!!!!!!

My Zed looks better though!!!!!!
