Hi guys

Not an expert with cars tbh

but im determined to get better with them :) .

My Z's idling rough. From cold it does all the normal things then when oil pressure drops and its warm i can hear the engine revs fluttering from about 800rpm it drops revs slightly for a second or two and you see the engine block shake like it going to stall, it then picks up and returns to normal repeating this happens every 30seconds or so.

From what its doing id guess its something that regulates the idle revs is playin up - but what that is im not sure. :smash:

Could someone give me some pointers or suggestions of what to look for, i.e. sensors to check?

Thanks in advance

Sounds like a boost leak. Possibly temp sender (yellow connector on upper rad hose). If its idling at 800 then the base idle may also be set too high. Could also be throttle position sensor set incorrectly. Really need to get it on a conzult to rule out the basics first...

I dont have access to a consult, can you buy these?

When my cambelt was changed at Zedworld they mentioned adjusting the idle as a temporay measure and that there was something faulty with the CAS? (the engine wouldn't run if the CAS was not working would it?)

Might be time to go to a garage again, looking over the site Zworx is the closest Zed workshop to me, does this come recommended?

They did what because what? Can't see how any fault with the CAS would require base idle to be increased  Increasing the base idle messes up the ecu's control of the engine in terms of stalling etc... Zworx deffo come recommended.
