Question about replacing turbos

I would just like to know if it's just to bolt on and drive or are internal engine mods needed for the JWT 300zx sport 500 turbos?

Featured Replies

it al depends on what other mods you intend to do and what psi you intend on running.the stock pistons are only good for 380-400bhp.as the crank and rods are forged anyway they have been used up to 450 and beyond so ive heard.the sport 500s are capable of this sort of power with other mods like injectors, exhausts, intercooler etc.if you just want a more reliable faster spooling turbo that bolts on with no mods then the sport 500s are a good choice as they give plenty of scope for further mods in the future.

The plan is to fit langer injectors in due time. Also replacing the exhaust with a cat-back and side intercooler from greddy.

I would probably advise you do the injectors with the turbo, as you might run risk of injectors maxing out?
