I'm having trouble removing the sticker on the bonnet. I've tried the kettle method but it doesn't soften it at all because it's not like vinyl graphics that peel off easy. The only possible way is if it's sliced with a razor bit by bit and it looks as if someone had allready had a go at that.........any other ideas??

warm soapy water...

I'd try a hair drier but if hot water doesn't work, maybe hot air won't either.

I'd try some sort of solvent - petrol, carb cleaner - something like that.

Can of label remover? Comes in an aerosol - spray on and it softens the adhesive....

petrol...... woops there goes the paint work too!

you can use a bit of mineralised meths then wash it off with some warm soap and water afterwards to remove the glue

I've used it before with no problems.

Maybe it's not a good idea though!

meths/white spirit hair dryer bucket of soapy water as to not leave the spirits on for two long

lots of wax on wax off

and a long process

Blow torch generally gets enough heat into it to soften the glue and burns that nasty sticker right off.

not trying to hijack but whats the best way to get rid of the residue after ?

Wipe it on the curtains

I find pressing some sticky insulation tape onto it and peeling it off slowly brings most stuff off :)

Failing all the above , pop down to your nearest motor factor and get a Caramel wheel , it,s made of a soft rubber and specially designed for this use , it has got a mandrel moulded in it already , just put it in a drill and it simply rubs decals and double sided tape clean off without scratching your paint .

Most bodyshops use them , a cracking tool to have
