Does any body no any decent sites where I can see various types of 2 tone paint/resprays or where you can create your own?

Nissan used to do a really cool Chameleon paint. Not sure it would suit the Z, I think a more bluey purple would...anyway, can't remember what it was called, but late K11 Micras and late P11 model Primeras.

mystic green for the primera's, but it was never used on the micra's, there was a more orangey color for the micra

Sorry guys but I reallydo hate that colour.

If you were to get a respray done then using 2 tone/flake paint (or whatever) how can you tell what the colours are like before they go on the car?

I am just looking into this now for later in the year, poss even next year but been searching a fair few things on the net and there doesn't seem to be anywhere I can mix the paints to see what they would be like on my Z

No no no, flake is completely different...and generally pretty cheesy. Flipped paint, pearl, metallic, kandy, flake etc are all different.

Steer clear of metaflake unless you want your car to look like a fairground ride.

paint like that to do the zed could cost in the reigon of 2k, i know its your decision but i think twotone flake paints are crap, the only one i like is the pinky reddy purplly one that tvr use, try and do a search on tvr's they use lots of flip paints

I have seen some crap and will not rush into owt but cheers for the heads up. Think I am going to have to find a custom painter for what I have got in mind.

Might be costing a bit more than 2K but who knows?

IMHO, one of the nicest flipped paints I've seen is Alfa Romeo's Nuvola blue...ignore the cars....but look at the paint. It's so easy on the eye. There's a local R33 GTR sprayed this colour and it looks absolutely stunning. Nice blue with a subtle gold flip to it.

Photoshopped Z... I'd love to see this done with a subtle kit on it. IE, Kaminari rear bumper, stillen sizes, 99-spec front etc.

when i said £2000 (2K) i meant for just the paint only without putting it on and doing any mods you need lol

Cheers Stellaz, I guessed that's what you meant.

Nice colour that but too light for my taste

have a chat to Deve8uk he paid £8000 for his spray job ..lambo under coat and two tone blue with pearl white i think ....

...

dont know how much it costs but how about the TVR stuff? im sure they used to (still?) do a fair old range of colours?

I've just come across someone with a heat effect paint. The car changes colour as it heat up/cools down I'll see if I can find the vid. I gonna ask the girl if it's legal.

We were joking about heating it up doing a robbery then driving through a car wash coming out the other side another colour as the water would cool the paint down therefore changing it's colour.

Steve at Bodywork Plus (see traders section) uses that along with all the other weird and wonderful cutting edge paints you can get. Cracked ice-look or furry paint finish anyone? ;)

I saw a pic of a trd kitted mr2 in lexus black cherry pearl,

it looked fantastic, i'll try & dig out a pic.

Not necessarily a flip paint, but a real nice colour

which would suit a z really well.

Heres a couple of pics, think a z would look good in this colour.

Yeah I am loving this, Black Cherry Pearl..mmmm tasty

Definately more my style with the darker colour, seen something similar on a ford probe of all cars which has got me looking.

This would be the kinda thing I would go for or a black/red flip kinda thing if it looked good.

keep the pics coming!
