Children Of Men - Clive Owen

 

Just got around to watching this film, fancied it when it first came out. Not quite what I was expecting, but a very good and graphic film. Not for the squeamish, as there is a bit of blood flying around, some of which is on the camera lens for around four minutes :D Just goes to show that that whole film sequence was shot in one go, which is very well done considering how much actually goes on in that scene.

Some may think it's a bit slow to start, and to be honest it is, but stick with it, it is worth it in the end. A very well made and put together BRITISH film.

 

I'm going to start a star rating this time around.... 0 = Crap...... 10 = The DOGS!!

I have that sitting downstairs as i bought it this weekend but shes made me watch 24 instead so wil sit down and see it this week :)

watched "the gridiron gang" last night and that was a cracking film

Children of Men....10 out of 10! :D Saw it at the cinema as soon as it came out as I was really looking forward to it....definately wasn't disappointed. Fantastic story and cinematography with another sterling performance by Mr Owen and an amazing turn by Michael Caine, certainly one of his best in years. I'll be buying it on DVD!

thought it was ok nothing startling and as stated a bit slow id have given it nearer 5 out of 10.

Good subject for a movie. Makes you wonder if thats the way things will be in the future? Even without the lack of fertile women. If the BNP ever took residence at number 10 I would imagine it would be a similar outcome?
