NZR - For you network gurus

I run a small network of Macs at home using a 10base T unmanaged hub.

Unfortunately I now have a grey box on my desk with Dell on it. frown.gif

Is there a quick and easy way to network the PC and Mac, even if it's only a shared folder on the PC that the Mac can see?

Please bear in mind that a) I am a complete ignoramous with PCs (I've only just worked out how to switch it on) and b) I don't want to spend any money.

Thanks in advance

Tim

There is some software called DAVE (yes really) that allows a PC to talk to Macintrashes. I have a copy somewhere and could mail it if you can't track it down out on the Internet.

This is a good start:

(Also gives a link to DAVE)

Be careful linking a MAC to a PC, the MAC might catch some strange disease from Windows. I've heard that 'Microsoftitus' can cause applications to crash, systems grind to a halt and men in black sunglasses knock on your door!

Try using the 'appletalk' protocol on your windows system, you should then be able to share files ok.
