I suppose our Z's have reached an all time low on price, it really is a buyers market at the mo & has been for sometime.

ok if ur buying, crap if ur selling.

But i think in the next few years our Z's will increase in value as they push the 20year mark

cheers martin

Nothing personal here Mark but failed project cars NEVER make good money.

Look at it from a buyers point of view. Projects cant be driven, often cant be heard running, and are invariably in 100 pieces.

And failed projects are usually a forced sale .

So potential buyers are exposed to a high risk purchase and will bid accordingly. I should know ive bought enough failed projects in my time(not Z32TTs)

As Si says.. make some effort. Delete all the current pics and start again,

Or just resign yourself to a low price and move on.

Yes , but there is a saturation point, say maybe 2009 , twenty years from z32 production,

these cars will become rarer & increase in value

Out of all the cars ive owned & ive owned alot , i think the Z32 is the tops i love these cars

Couldn't agree more. Being 6'4" there are very few sports cars I can actually get into. I tried a TVR Chimera this weekend and got stuck in the bloody thing! The Zed offers power, comfort, quality and most of all (in my opinion) the ability for open top motoring. Cars of this quality that are not modified up to the hilt will eventually start to creep up in price again - or at least level off. Look at cars like the XJS and Datsun 240/260Z. At one stage you couldn't give the buggers away. I sold an absolute cracking 240Z back in 1988 for £1500. You would pay upwards of £8000 for the same vehicle now. Zeds have a cult following (the 240Z ensured that) so good examples will be worth holding on to. The difficult period will come when the new 350Z is on the second hand market for not much more than a 300ZX.

I dont really know what the prices where say 5yrs ago but finding a very nice, well built clean looked after car is quite hard ( I know... Im trying )

I agree with the ebay comments as it only seems to get the sheds and thats all the public eye sees so catching the attention of buyers seems harder with a zed then other cars.

The only places i know worth looking for them are

ebay (off chance of a minter)

pistonheads

zclub

autotrader

And of course here :) But im told the summer prices for zeds are much better so does the seasonal drop and increase balance it well compared to the same spec/age cars?

I think finding there car you want isnt a problem, as long as expectations are realistic.

500bhp does narrow the search alot.

There are lots of very clean Z's out there, the secret is being patient. Its worth waiting for the one that suits you.

Seeing as though theres only 3 zeds running at 500rwhp thats not the route im going down anymore  Talk about narrowing the market right down.

Ive revised my post in the wanted section but still no joy or i hear from people then they never bother replying again. Thats the most fun you can have with your zip done up  Amost as much fun as the people trying it on because they know you have a fair amount and think they can ask 10k for a car worth 2k!! "but its been sprayed red and thats worth 5k" type of thing

Got a few on the horizen so will see what happens.
