i know they exist but the guy claims:

"These engines have more aggressive camshaft profiles and much larger intake and exhaust ports than the standard USA and JDM vg30dett engines"

thats an uprated engine from a Z31 isnt it?

Looks very much like it Dave. Or an engine out of a Maxima. Deffo not Z32.

Could be the engine out of the nissan pick up, there was a nissan car also that had a vg30 single turbo engine, was looking into it the other week!

its from the nissan cedric ...it was eventually replace by the vq30det ...so all the older model cars to the vqdet powered cars of today ....

i am getting my hand on one of these motors but i wanna know if it make sense to purchase

ok did some research ....the cime VG30DET came out of the japanese cima, leopard and cedric...vbasically the same as the z32 VG30DETT but has bigger intake and exhasut port and the DET block has thicker cylinder walls so it can be bored out more ...apparenlty all the big horsepower Z's in japan use the DET block ...
