due to my speech problem i managed to turn a 5 min conversation into a fookin 45 min one... i had to go and ask woman 4 times what i went into the shop for as i couldnt keep a straight face with my mate. the person behind the counter was trying to guess what i was trying to say and kept getting it wrong..

one of the lasting side effects of my mini stroke has left me with slurred and paused speech, i know what i want to say, and i try to say it, but its like something stops me from saying it for a while then i manage to say it, its like a pause just as you go to say it, or you actually start with the wrong letter, or its like an "ooo" sound before you speak.

 

im getting used to it, just takes ages to speak, on the phone is worse as they pick it up and say hello then as soon as i start to speak they think its some nutter at the other end!

lol, too be fair mate its no worse than my mate with a stutter. He's worse than you and he had training when he was little to get over it.

i've got a stutter, it can be very fustrating knowing what you want to say but not being able to say it.
