....for a job out in New Zealand.

Start date isn't until the end of the summer. But the job's working in vessel management up in Whangarei on the north island.

Could be good....kinda scary. Would rather live in NZ anyway...but who knows what will happen.

Zed will come with me!!!

I wish I was out in the US. I absolutely love it out there. Have spent the last 6 months trying to get relocated. Bloody difficult. The work Visas are the real bitch.

Awesome matey, i hope you get it, then that'll give me a month or so to catch up with my posts and overtake you

yep if you get a chance to get out this shit hole do it, not gonna get any better here thats for sure

Good luck bud.

Spent a few weeks over there a few years ago.

Wouldn't bother taking the Z though. Was on a bus trip round the north island and when we were traveling on what is the major road of the island we had to stop for the sheep to cross. It was just a tad strange. You wouldn't won't to hit one at any thing other than in first gear.

LOL

couldn't agree more, give it 6 months and we'll have to learn to sing the national anthem in an eastern european language

Thats why in 4 years time when I retire We will be going to live in Crete .

And by the way my car is coming with me.

I don't think the UK is that bad. It just doesn't suit me. I feel claustraphobic here and want to get out of the rat race. It was the reason I tried to get a job in the US. Only the visas let me down.

Good luck bud.

Roads are pretty good over there and far better maintained than over here. Not to mention the fact that the country has about 20 times less vehicles on its roads than it does over here. I live out in the country, so know all about the farm animals and wildlife! LOL

you gonna take the zed to crete? you only have the coastal road to drive it on, and the side streets are so narrow and hilly you would reck the car in no time plus the roads over there are so shinny and slippery when they get wet your lose the back end everytime you go to pull away, proberbly why i've never seen any other there, be a good place to go for a weeks zed meet though lol. Where in crete you thinking of going?

Have a place in a small mountain village, about 40 minutes from Chania anf 20 minutes from Georgeoupolis, see attached pics. We're in the process of restoring at the minute and am off next week to check on the progress

Know what you mean about the roads, but there is a really nice long straight going up to our village so can get a bit of a blast on that, plus the highway

I have friends that live in that very town, just north of Auckland, they love it and have been out there for just over two years now.

Good luck mate.

That's it, on the north east coast. Similar climate to Spain, although a little more changeable. There's a port there which has been developed over the other side of the bay at Marsden point. Lovely beaches there.
