How big of a job is it to convert my hicas (hydraulic, series 2 TT) into electronic hicas. and is it the same system as on the skyline gts's. reason i ask this is because iv found a gtst in a scrapyard with electronic hicas and my hicas is leaking at the back somewhere. any info welcome

cheers

Would have thought it was a big job, if it's even possible.

Most people just remove the HICAS with an eliminator bar to lock it up.

i thought it might be. i dont wanna remove it. i think its there for a reason, and i dont believe that nissan would spend all that time and money researchin it and it not do its job. just my opinion, anything that helps me keep the thing under control is a bonus. :) .

cheers

I've got most of a rear subframe lying around if you need any parts...

cheers mate, but is it worth the swap to electronic. the only problems i can see are the control unit and sensors. surely the electronic version is better. all the later Z's and liners have it instead of the hydraulic.

thanks
