as ive said before

you cant just go shoving on turbos and hoping for the best. you have to work out what volume of air the engine will be pumping from each bank at peak torque and HP then work out the pressure ratio depending on what boost you want to run, then you find a compressor map where the pressure ratio and volume meet at about 70% efficiency.

oh and make sure this is as far right from the surge line as possible or you end up shearing turbine shafts like i did on the GTti

you will need anot of modifying just to make them fit as the mitsi turbos have a 3 bolt flange where as the T series garrett turbos have a 4 bolt flange so IMHO i wouldnt bother, buy some that were made for the zed, theres a new set of HKS 2530s in the sale section which are an amazing set of turbos ;)

Evolution 7

Turbo = TD05HR-16G6-9.8T (GSR)

Nozzle Area (cm2) = 9.8

Turbine = GSR - Inconel (steel alloy),

Compressor = Aluminium, 68mm wide

td05hr-16g6-cfm.gif

Good for about 1000bhp with a rev limitter of 8k @ ~25psi :eek:

You'll see some boost at 3k rpm. They do look quite well suited to the VG30 at first glance.

These are only quick workings out so if I'm wrong I apologise :)

well i'm not very versed in how to do the calulations to see if the turbos will work ...i don't understand fully how to read this compressor map either ....so any help is appretiated ....well i got a forged bottem end ..planning to get some head work done this year ...plan on running 850 inj if i go with this turbo ....got upgraded sidemount IC but will go for a fornt mount this year ...brembo brakes of an r33 GTR for stopping power ... I am going to custom build my own manifold if i decide to use these turbos ...these turbos are twin scroll ..

front my limited knowledge of evos they can run upto around 350-370 fwhp on these turbos before they max them out and need to change the turbo and bear in mind thats one turbo on a 2 ltr engine, your technically running 1 of these on a 1.5ltr on the zed so it wont make as much power so i would imagine a pair of these correctly installed would make around 550 fwhp so around 480-500rwhp ish?? and should be pretty good spool up as well :)

Mike

so should i go ahead and experiment with these turbos??

pretty sure karlos had these fitted to his zed, its been sold since then, not sure how much power they made?

stock bore x stroke = 87 x 83

with my oversized piston i blieve its 89x83

so you all think i can fit these to a zed ? Can someone with some know how do some calculations and let me know please

yes mate same as what was fitted to my zed , made 400 rwhp on 555's but could easily had made more but my tyre blew LOL

karlos can you tell me what had to be done to fit these and provide some info about your setup?

I have driven Karlosg's old car car when it became Shaunmac's. It didn't seem any more laggy than a stock Zed and it pulled like a train at 100+ once it had been mapped correctly.

karlos can you tell me what had to be done to fit these and provide some info about your setup?

Best to speak to Greg on here bud to get the lowdown on the setup. But u can get vbarious housings , the evo ones i think u need to change the housings but then they become bolt on tubbies , but u do need new lines water oil etc.
