But surely if its bubbling gas is escaping?

 

No what you can see is liquid refridgerent in the sight glass, the gas is put in the system after the system is put under vaccume so that there is no air in the system. cant be botherd to explain the basics of refridge look it upon the net

If you have lots of bubbles you are most probably running short of gas,

if you only have one moving around you are ok, I just rand my

fridge engineer at work to check

Yip thats right! One or two bubbles are perfectly fine, lots of small bubbles are bad. Prob running low on freon. Had to learn all about the refrigarant cycle for this new fandangled Apache helicopter we got at work. Dont ask!

LOL! I usually need a cold beer AFTER flying with them!

However we have NEVER EVER smuggled beers back from Bosnia and we NEVER hid them in the rear avionics bay!! Shhh!
