Sparky plugs question

Got some new plugs for the TT Zed this morning and need to know something. Do you have to set the gap on these?. If so what should the gap be?.

That varies according to which plug you got.

Most NGK plugs come pre gapped for the car.

What is the part number?

Some interesting reading for any one who wants to know about spark plugs.

According to the on line manual the plugs come with the gap pre-set. I also have a sticker under my bonnet telling me not to adjust the plug gap.

Hi Wazzer

The plugs I have are code PFR6B-11C. What do you think, adjust gap or are they pre-set as Steve has suggested??

they are pre gapped to 1.1mm hence the -11 at the end. smile.gif

Hi i run those plugs and they are pre gapped. I have had no problems with them to date. PFR-611B used to burn out on me all the time, these are fine.

If you are running higher than std boost I'd imagine you'd want cooler plugs than a 6 though.

Thanks guys

My car is running a higher boost than stock(no where near Wazzer's car though) so what would be the code for a cooler plug than the one I have?.

Oh I seem to have started something I'm not sure about. redface.gif

I, bearing in mind I run an S13, am using Denso Iridium IQ24's which are an 8 temp rating, 6 is the std for the S13 (PFR6a-11).

I'm surpirsed that Warren is still running 6's.

What's the diffrence between PFR6b-11B, and PFR6b-11C?
