Hi people,

I was just wonderign if anybody here knows of any insurance companies that does cheapish

car insuracne for young drivers. I passed my practical exam yeasturday and hopefully be driving soon, but insurance prices

don't help because of loads of 'chavs' on the roads driving lik f*kin tw@ts making other young drivers pay for it.

Iv been searching about and the cheapest iv got is £1287.33 :headvswal

this is on 1998 toyota corolla 1.3 searching only for 3rd party fire and theft lol. Jus thought i'd ask around as am guessign many of you

must of had the same problems youself or with your kids.

Thanks N300TT

oh, lol :o feel like a right twat. il have to give them a try tomorow see if i can get a better quote. (these quotes are me as 3rd driver btw lol )

Bell.com are supposed to be good as hey are now supposed to specialize in new rivers. You should also check the insurance companies in the back of the booklet your examiner gave you on being a 'new driver'. These contain insurance companies who are also supposed to specialize in first time drivers.

i feel for you mate when i passed my test at 17 i had a 2.8 V6 MKIII Capri and they were asking £5K+. I got trade in the end and didnt have to pay. I suggest doing pass plus which will reduce insurance some, mabey joining the IAM might be worth while. i hope some of that helped.

done a quote using confused.com and moneysupermarket.com and both came up as 'cannot quote because age of additinal driver'

Give Liverpool Victoria a call. Somehow don't think that being in London and a new drive means you'll get much below £1k.
