this morning on the way into work, scooting down towards the high street.....foot on break.... nothing :x: car just sliding towards the high street, corner of my eye i spot some fella pedalling his way into work on his little bike, and i'm heading straight for him!

 

You know when everything happens in a kid of slow motion way, but fooking quick too! :nono: Not nice @ all..

 

@ this rate my heart is tick ticketing... he's staring at me wondering when im going to stop... and im just about to shut my eyes and the car stops! THANK FUK FOR THAT!

 

tonight on the way home... realised last minute that the fella in front of me was stopping.... just his brake lights were not working! thank goodness when i slammed brakes, this time they worked! :x:

 

Too close for comfort... think I might catch the bus tomorrow. Im doomed! :cry:

Have you got dump valves fitted? Mine do the same if you slam the brakes on straight after being on full boost you get nothing brakeswise

it only happend today... and i will get them look at. :( was a big wake up call really.

 

Everyone always posts stuff up about, crshed here, crashed into this did this, did that... but you never take notice of the stuff till it actually happens to you.

 

Anyway, at least im in one piece, so is the man on the bike, so is my car, and so is the other persons car!

Sounds like one (of the two?) one-way valves have gone in your vacuum piping.

Hunniepie, did your foot just drop to the floor, or did the pedal just feel solid?

If it dropped to the floor you might have dirt in your master cylinder, or a split brake line. If it felt solid, then there was no vacuum assist.

Thank goodness you are okay girl, and the car, the bic and the other guy. Could have been nasty.

 

I've had a brake failure in the past so I know what it's like to think hell I'm not stopping and you think you're gonna hit someone.

 

 

Could be a good opportunity to upgrade those brakes as well. Hope you get it sorted okay without too much expense. :)
