Just thought i'd sort out some new insurance to cover all the mods...

i'm putting on the car and came accross bell direct who seem to let you do any amount of modding but they just pay out for the basic car which suits me just fine.

http://www.bell.co.uk

£740 quid fully comp with 250 quid excess

I'm paying virgin £720 for a standard zed not including theft (because i had no tracker)hat'll be cancelled tomorrow.

Quote was including:

bodykit,

new exhaust,

custom interior,

bigger wheels,

uprated brakes

and none defined engine mods (underdrive pulley etc)

Not bad at all, shall be changing over tomorrow.

fookin ell i need to shop around. mine runs out in March/April and im paying £1300. they saw me coming a treat didnt they?

I'm only paying about £350 with all my mods declared

You're about 10 years older than Nick though! LOL

I'm almost the same age as Nick and I pay £450 fully comp...although only got my rims declared and the car to a value of £6k. :)

I was with Bell for the last two years.

When I was calling round this year for quotes they were particularly ****witted / expensive so I've gone with A-plan instead. £560 fully comp.

I think it's the luck of the draw - they just make numbers up out of their arses.

its a 1991 import. do you think they'd take it with mods?

Classic policies are usually for cars from about 15 years old but some are now 10 years like mine with Chaucer (Through Houghton Insurance)

Yes I'm an old git at 35, in a very good area and it's limited to 3000 miles per year ;) but my car is an import with lots of mods.

I've been with them about 4 years now and it's only gone up by about a tenner in that time :)

Had a quote last year of £7500

I get the impression they didn't want my business!

Your total price is: £2307.07 (bell)

LMFAO!

Im paying 999.00 right now with 0 yrs no claims.... and the 2k quote is with 1 year no claims!

Bell quoted me £191.35 so think I might be going with them this time around

i want a winky. :wack:

Broadsure direct.... see here

BTW, my policy is unlimited mileage too. :) I don't need that as I don't do more than about 3 or 4k in it in a year, but the policy doesn't limit the mileage.
