Which pistons did you use? JE or JWT high silicone?

 

I think the oil consumption comes with the larger skirt to bore clearance from cold.

 

The forged pistons generally take a few minute to start expanding after start up.

 

JE spec is for 3 thou clearance and I think JWT get theres' as low as 1.5 thou.

 

Mine rattles from cold with the JE but then I didn't want to pay the extra $400 for JWT pistons.
