I've recently become a father and as is traditional in these occassions, a family car is a must... So I've bought a 300 TT 2/2 Auto... 1995 - 52K miles... From Japan, which should be with me in about 5 weeks.

Purchases for my son, who by the time he's old enough to drive it, won't be able to, as fossil fuels will have run out, a third world war will have taken place, roads will have been destroyed, the polar ice caps will have melted and lets face it, hover cars will by the norm...(Will nissan be producing a Z one of them???)

Before all this happens, I'm looking to boost the power of this bad boy and need to know costs and the best possible way forward, it already has an apexi induction kit and some sort of aftermarket exhaust...but what if I want 450bhp at the rear wheels, what do i need to do.... What's it likely to cost?

Chances of son inheritting it...slim to none as I'll probably make a greasy spot of myself on the highway, fooling around with some burberry baseball cap wearing chav in a scooby or evo... who still lives with his Mummy.... :x:

you will need,

555cc injectors

bigger turbo's

ideally aftermarket manifolds

bigger intercoolers

ecu upgrade

uprated autobox or ideally a manual conversion

forged internals

cost wise your looking at around 10k+

Paul.

It may be a project in the making then...need to get it sorted before the end of the world as we know it....

10K...D'OH....

Ok what If I go for a more modest 350 BHP, can I just do this on standard block, tb, gbox etc...the bigger mods will have to wait....

sorry gave you the wrong thread, try this one(http://www.300zx.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=86481)

An after market chip with a decent electronic boost controller (recommend) induction kit, good after market exhaust (de cat is debaitable) Raise the boost to 12-14 psi injectors, tubs ics wont need to be changed as they are good for that, and you will be on your way to 400bhp

Get yourself a chipped ecu and up the boost and you,ll get 350-360 and standard internals can take this increase easily

Thanks for the thread.
