Looking at getting one of these and just wanted to know if they are any good. http://www.screwfix.com/shop_product.html?1495

I know there was a post a while back where someone was using one (I think it was Latz). How do they work? is it just pressured water with a detergant?

Thanks

Vijay

You'd normally use some sort of solvent like parafin, or perhaps Jizer etc.

yeah they use parafin (or that's what we used at work), you can buy proper stuff, expensive parafin I reckon.

Have a look at www.machinemart.co.uk they are having a couple of VAT free nights soon in may. gonna get a welder and poss an engine lift.

cheers guyz. Are they any good? do they really clean that well??

Vijay

They only clean as well as you scrub really, the solvent just washes the muck away. Much easier than the kitchen sink though (and much less earache!) smile.gif

Erm dunno, the one we had was fucked at work. biggrin.gif biggrin.gif biggrin.gif

But I imagine they are pretty good, I visited a gearbox place a while ago and they use them to clean the gears etc.

But that aside theya are handy just for having somewhere to wash and scrub stuff manually to. Instead of your favourite sandwich box etc.

Yeah just checked it in my catalogue, that says 1000 l/ph too.
