Personally never used a 4X4 but one of my managers swears by his Pajero. Had others like discovery, shogun, Rav 4, Vitara but went back to the Pajero. Said it was a lot more fun to drive (does off road events also).

As I said I don't know but his opinion of them is good.

get the 2.8td. very good car.

the mivec is a twin turbo 3.5 liter v6 petrol an will do 0-60 in 6 seconds thats why i want it im not so interested in a slow 4x4 just wondering if any one no's an faults or any web sites i can look at as they are pretty rare

TT aint quite as fast off road lol. yea i should be able to affore both with out to much of a prob

What I mean is, work it the other way around. Get a diesel shogun and a ZTT. Is there really much fun in trying to do a hard launch in a quagmire?

lol suppose but i like the thought of havin a big 4x4 that can take on stuff on an off road an be fairly practical from a space point of veiw

IMHO, I can't think of why a V6 turbo megolith would be practical. A TD with decent amount of torque would be far better.

My mate sold his SWB shogun that he used for pulling a trailor with his Motorbike on. Even with a diesel, he said the thing drank fuel. Don't really see a point in a twin turbo petrol version.

Yup, they drink fuel like mad. 80 litre tank and under normal conditions, you would be lucky to get 400 miles. Take it off road or boot it, then expect no more than 250. I have the Shogun 3l V6 which is plenty fast enough for a 4 X 4 and if you chuck a trailor on it it is hardly noticable. Although it also drinks fuel (but who cares, I get it tax free  ).

Extremely reliable busses, but expect high insurance and repair costs.
