Well i got my car back from Paul after its 3 month holiday at swz. Running sweet as when i got it back.. really quick spool up coupled with the new fast road box made for a seriously rapid car now...

 

didnt use it from christmas eve til the following thursday, started it to warm up and when i came back it was smoking like a chimney from the nearside exhaust.

 

Called Paul who came up to collect it the following wednesday (last week) the turbo is now off and I am told has about 4-5mm lateral play in the shaft so has been sent back to Turbo Dynamics. It will be with them tomorrow (why does everything take so bloody long??)

 

To say i am pissed off is an understatement alright the work is warrantied but who pays me for the fact that having spent just under 4k on it to have the work done thats been done and the turbos fitted i run it for about 2 weeks and its back in the bloody garage again? Or the fact that i have to beg and borrow a car as it is my only vehicle.. Or SWZ for coming and getting it, removing the faulty turbo and replacing it..

 

and Paul if you read this why does everything take so long? I dont have a problem with anything you do but last time it was over 3 months to do what in your words should have been done in a few weeks. Now you have had my car for over a week and the turbo isnt gonna be with TD until tomorrow..

 

How long will i have to wait this time?

 

Not having a pop just feeling a bit pissed off and unfortunately for you its gonna be directed at you cos its to do with my car and you did the work.

 

Just cant understand how a turbo that was fine when it went in, doesnt even do 500 miles and goes bang.. whats to say the other one wont go the same way??

 

Also can you please fix the odometer and trip that was working when it came in but isnt now? I did mention about it on the phone after I got back to mine.

 

Rant over (for now!!) and Paul dont take it personally but trying to get a reply on msn in the day is like trying to juggle soup..

Sorry it is taking so long mate its just purely the amount of work were trying to get out and the lack of space. We had to inspect the car as best as possible with the tubs on before we just removed it and found nothing. We Try to be on messenger most of the day but unfortunately dave had to take his little girl to the doctors so wasn't manning the desk. Again I apologise to anyone that is waiting at the moment but I am trying my best to please everyone. As soon as i have any news I will let you know.

Not a problem but not sure we can do alot as the speedo etc is working so unfortunately it could be the clocks themselves but will investigate.

Not taking any sides here-just from my experiance,I have fitted new/recon tubs in the past,only to have a few fail, 'tis the way of these things I'm afraid! :wack:

Did either or both yer exhausts smoke before the new tubs work were fitted mate ?

they were working when it came in to you and not when i picked it up... so I am sorry matey but its up to you to fix them..

Well just heard from SWZ that TD have confirmed it was a faulty internal bearing which collapsed.. thank god its all warrantied and should be back on the road by end of next week..

 

not so annoyed now

getting some HID's too so i will be able to see at night

Glad to hear things are looking brighter Speedfreak. Just hang in there and it'll all come right in the end. :)
