I have to rebuild a pc and can't find my xp pro disks anywhere. I might bite the bullet and convert to Linux.

It's only used for video/music edititng and a bit of web development so it doesn't need lots on it.

What do you guys think? Anyone here tried it?

What distro you thinking of using? I would recommend suse or ubuntu. Both support most hardware including bluetooth and wifi etc and use the kde gui which is windows like.

The only thing you may struggle with is drivers for any less mainstream hardware you may have.

I used to use Redhat Linux a few years ago. Quite liked it actually. Was pretty reliable. Well, better than this MS shite.

You can...or used to be able to download Redhat OS. Not sure if you can anymore. Been a few years since I used it. I found SUSE to be awful to instal. Had all sorts of problems with it, but found Redhat pretty easy.
