think you might have to offer your wallet as well mate :wack: maybe your house too lol

I would too!!, If I was allowed!!

The car has been running PE 850cc injectors for a couple years now.

We've made 880 rwhp on boost alone with the new set-up.

That is with twin stock fuel pumps at a few pounds of extra fuel pressure.

880rwhp at 36psi on our GT725R kit is near the limit of what the 850cc injectors are capable of.

The car also has a direct port nitrous kit (wet shot) that is now hidden under the lower plenum. And also another smaller stage of nitrous that sprays into the two intake pipes before the throttle bodies. All of the nitrous includes fuel jets, so we are able to make over 1000 rwhp with 850cc injectors. In our recent attempts to spray the large direct port nitrous sytem on top of maxium boost we have been unable to acheive any traction on our dyno.

Our calculations tell us the car is producing around 1250 rwhp now when using all the nitrous.

i am still confused about the amount of power its made, so its not got 740's but 850's and its not got 20g's but GT725's??

also i'm confused, the GT725's are based on the GT2871?? which is roughly a 380-400 bhp turbo on a 2.2 ltr engine so you have 2 of them on a 3 ltr engine ie 2 x 1.5 ltrs and its not going to make the 400 bhp possible more like 325 or at most 350 each which is more like 650-700 bhp!!

now i know your running NOS but on the spec it says (from memory) 60 or 75 bhp shot cant remember which?? i presume to get anywhere near the figures quoted that you now run between 500 and 700 bhp to be getting over 1200 rwhp??

you have an awsome car but again i repeat either the way the bhp is measure in the usa is ALOT different or its a dyno pony, be it a very pretty dyno pony.

i would put my house on it that on a dyno over here it wouldnt make 800 rwhp and if it did i would eat my hat :D

oh and 2 stock fuel pumps bust be at bursting point to fuel 800 rwhp never mind over 1200

Mike

also just to add so i dont sound like a total pr1ck and slating his car which i am genuinly not, even to get 800 is a thing which is not easy on a zed, i should know ;) so regardless of the actual bhp its a lovely car and one of the nicest around, i just dissagree with the bhp claims

Mike

Mike

LOL! so which is it? are you prepared to gamble your house on it or just eat a hat?!?! :p

Awesome,

I've been thinking of doing this to my engine bay, i know it looks a bit engine bay but i hate it when the whole engine bay is crammed with shiny stuff.

I shall be doing this very very soon...

Just to fuel the fire a bit. Whenever people from overseas come on here, eg America and Cyprus as recent examples I've seen, nobody believes the power figures, and they often do seen very inflated to what we are used to here. BUT what are the top times that someone in this country has posted for a Zed and what are the best figures in America? I havn't seen any good times posted in a zed in this country, but many extremely fast times in America, so perhaps we should be eating our hats? (or gambling Kirbz house :-) )

Just to clarify john and russell, the dynos you have done have been on race fuel, which allows for more extreme timing advances and boost?

JFYI I think most of the dynos in the uk are done on 98 octane fuel!

yes but getting fast times is different, in a 6-700 bhp zed with the right suspension and tyres you can get a 10 second pass, gred dupree did a 9 sec with about 750 bhp (i think)

for a start the tracks in the usa are fantastic and very very well prepared ie glued etc unlike over here, we are catching up but lets face it they have been dragging over there for many many years.

it all comes down to physics with me, if someone comes on here with a set of ### turbos and makes **** bhp and that turbo and setup is capable of doing that then i am the first person to say "hey well done" but when someone comes on saying they have got xxx bhp and the setup simply cant produce (maybe if magic is involved??) then i am sceptical ;)

casing point, MACs car was running around 1.4 bar and ran really well and apart from fueling was at the max and he was running pentroof manifolds, 18g turbos etc etc then the guy (sorry forgot the name) from cyprus comes on running less boost and smaller turbos and makes over 100 rwhp more  so yes i smell some thing and it aint a rat :D

i go to my project car that i was building, it was capable of making around 800 rwhp due to the L2 20G turbo which are good for 450 bhp each but in all honesty i was more execting around 700 rwhp.

LOL!

Tough crowd.

We didn't come here to brag or to make outlandish claims that we can't back up. We didn't even mention anything about the car, you guys did.

This all we do all day 6 days a week for the past 7 years.

We have our own dyno jet dyno in house and it is accurate with-in a 2% margin. For instance most normally aspirated Z32's make 180-200 rwhp on our dyno depending on modifications.

The silver widebody convertible was originally built with a TD06 20G kit and 740cc injectors. That is what a lot of the mod sheets floating around still say. About a year after it was built we added a direct port nitrous system on top of the plenum and 850cc injectors. This set-up is what made around 700 rwhp on boost alone and the 1051 rwhp with nitrous a couple years back. Because we were looking for more power and better response we did another round of mods this year. We changed over to our GT725R turbos hid the direct port nitrous under the lower plenum, and many other "upgrades". With this new set-up the car made around 880 rwhp on boost and much more with the nitrous. There are two stages of nitrous. The first stage is a 60 shot into the throttle bodies activated by a WOT switch. The second stage is a 225 shot (direct port) activated by a hobbs pressure switch, that I currently have set to 15 psi.

The silver convertible has many many powerplant modifications. I'd be happy to post an updated list when I have time. The 2871s used in the Z1 GT725 R kit are the larger trim _2 version.

The tune is of course using high octane 116 octane race fuel considering the amount of boost we are running.

As far as the fuel pumps go, well we know from a lot of experience that one stock TT fuel pump in good condition can supply enough fuel for over 700 rwhp. We've done it numerous times, with A/F ratios still safe. At around the 750 rwhp range we start seeing pressure fall off. It's a phonomenal pump, more capable than almost anything else produced from the factory.

So with two pumps we've not had fuel supply problems at power levels well in excess of 1000 at the rear wheels.

LOL!

LOL were not tough bud, but we have had some people on who have posted silly dyno's with a spec that simply cannot do that and tbh from the power vs spec list that was posted (not by yourself) regarding your car made me sceptical ;)

Were nice here really but i still think that the usa bhp reads alot higher than the uk bhp, maybe its because you all are rich and use race gas for normal driving :D

As i said its a lovely car and one which i would love to own but theres a big problem with your car

Take no notice Russel and all at Z1 of all the doubting thomas's on here.As most of them can talk the talk but can't walk the walk. You are "Gods of the Zed World" to me.(Fact)   We only play at it over here and your countrys very long history of producing high power cars far surpasses our futile attempts.I used to get my BHP figures scoffed at but who gives a fook really.I was there with around six witnesses at the time when the Noz button was hit.So I dont take any notice of what others say.I'm a happy man :D......Bee Gee Vinz

Russel, you get 2 thumbs up from me mate, job well done.
