hello gang new to this forum i brought chris@getgreddys z and having a small prob when driving getting a smell of petrol in the cab noticed it for a wile i think its got newish braided fuel lines - not sure any ideas ?? could the smell be coming from the dump valves or could i have a leak or something also does any one know any good garages in or near southampton thanks gang

anways guys its a great car but needs finishing going to put a new interior in - is a bit tatty - paint needs tidying up - and going to put a large install in boot and a few other bits and bobs that need doing chris seemed to spend lots of money on it but not bother taking care of it in other ways if you know what i mean

so if any of you guys have an interior for a 2+2 ( must be mint ) or as close as !! mail me on antonykynes@aol.com or post cheers

i thought it had a new interior last year!! has it really been that fooked up.

is it worth selling the interior?

seats are ok just the rest is not so good

The old stock radiator burst in Belgium and we spent about a day trying to fix it :rofl:

Shame he didn't want to wait half an hour for me when the oil sandwich plate he supplied leaked the following year on the Nurburgring trip :rolleyes: :slap:

 

He went out of business owing people all sorts of stuff and hasn't been in touch but not your problem.

 

Interior was one of the best around not long ago?

the seats are cool still in good shape but the door cards are bitting - tbar strips gone baggy sctrathces and stuff on other plastics fake leather dash needs to be done with real leather things like that and the stereo wireing w.t.f i had to sort that...... so chris owed you guys some money then ...... wondered why he was a bit shifty couldnt figger it out car checked out ok thats all i cared about sorry guys

yeh the stereo wiring was all over the place, i put the screen in but had real problems as the existing wiring was..well shite and the gauge wiring behind it was aweful :wack: i kept insisting he bought the car back to me so i could sort the wiring as it "bugged" me LOL

 

just for the record chris wasnt dodgy but he did have some problems including family problems :(

If he was like us we only realized you'd broke down when Sideways Dave called us to let us know. Your car smoked that much durring the run down there you couldn't see it. :rofl:

Alright eveyone? Don't want to hijack this thread but it is linked with the fuel smell.

 

I too am getting a really strong fuel smell from my car. I have checked the fuel lines and it is not thse. However I had stopped using my turbo timer in the last few days and the smell disappeared. As soon as I started using the T timer the smell comes back everytime I next turn on the ignition.

 

Any thoughts on this?
