Ok folks need help pretty bad....

Bought a Razo Auto Shifter with the over drive button. However how the f**k do I take off the existing stock auto gear handle ? There are screws in the back which I have undone but the damn thing won't come off?

Has anyone done a replacement of this kind ? How hard is it to do this ? I thought this was a piece of pi**.

Here is the actual link to the product

It is a piece of piss!! :D

Remove both screws and gently lift upwards, don't forget to un-do the overdrive loom plug and release the wire from the two retainers.

Different car bud...

The last one was done by a mate...

I did look at my last post and then attempted !

Still can't take the damn thing off as it seems its super glued !

Thanks....

Are you fully removing the two screws? Have you taken off all the console around it? Have you removed the four screws that hold the position display panel in place? I mention all that because I can't think of what else would be holding it in place, as there isnt anything, and absolutely no reason whats so ever to use any form of glue!!

As with any job there are always two ways to do it, the right way and the wrong way (the bodge)

You take the bottom panel off so that you can get to the overdrive loom, it has two hidden retainers that NEED to be released before you can remove the knob, otherwise you'll damage something. After all, look at the diagram you posted in the first post, you need to have good access to this loom so that you can attach the new wires.

The choice is yours!! :D

Word of advice, dont cut the black bit under the razo too short!!!
