I bought Halfords automatic charge and battery charger. Then I knew it was ok. lol.

But I do charge a range of sizes on it.

My dad gave me his old one when he packed up driving, it must be at least 30 (yes THIRTY) years old!!!!! And it works perfectly :D

Can anyone tell me if this charger would work? the automatic is around the £45 mark and for that price i'd much rather buy this one...

ideally if i was just buying a charger i'd only want to spend around £20, i know i'm being a cheapskate but times are hard when your trying to get your zed out of the garage. :headvswal

Just a decent automatic battery charger will do. From experience the booster ones aren't all they're made up to be IMO. You still need to get some juice into the battery before the engine will crank plus the extra load on the electrical system...

If you just want a "charger" then that will do.

However if you want a "booster/ starter" facility also then

This will be OK....

TBH I was thinking of buying the booster one you listed at Machine Mart.

Cheers Pete, I can imagine the booster coming in handy so will probably go for that one... ;)

Cheers

I've just read this, i suppose the booster could come in handy if you ever need to jump start a car? But ultimatley I do just need to charge some dead batteries... :nelson:
